Fractional HR Leadership for Los Angeles Companies

If you run a Los Angeles company with 12 to 350 employees and no HR person, you get CPO level judgment from Bill Brown, a defined 90 day build, and someone who actually picks up when an employee issue can't wait.

    What the Work Looks Like

    Global toy company, in house

Before I went fractional, I spent about a year and a half leading people work in house at a global toy company in LA with 200+ corporate and 1,500+ employees worldwide. You've probably stepped on their dolls in your kid's room, and your kids have probably watched their movies on Netflix.

The culture wasn't great, and helping change it was a big part of my job. I was the HR partner for the VPs and directors, and my team and I supported them on Employee Relations, Talent Development, retention and hiring. We helped run the employee surveys, led the discussions about the results, and helped leaders understand them, share them with their teams and repair what needed repairing. We also produced the global Town Halls, improved onboarding and set consistent Salary Bands.

In one 10 month stretch, culture survey scores went up 32% company wide.

    California Rules, Covered

The California rules that trip up small companies, from final pay to leave to the written safety plan most employers now need, are broken down on my California fractional HR page. And if you're new to this, here's how fractional HR leadership works.
